He is a DJ and trackmaker for the project Kyoto Jazz Massive, formed with his older brother, Shuya Okino. He also heads the crossover label Especial Records, which operates a shop in the Minamisemba district of Osaka. A key figure in the Japanese jazz and crossover scene, he has handled numerous remixes, production projects, and compilation selections since the 2002 release of Kyoto Jazz Massive’s debut album, *Spirit Of The Sun*. In 2021, Kyoto Jazz Massive released a new album titled *Message From A New Dawn*, followed by 12-inch and 7-inch singles drawn from the album. Marking the group's 30th anniversary in 2024, two new titles—*KJM EOANDO* and *KJM COVERS*—were released. Recently, the tracks "Power (Art Of Tones Remix)" and "Impulsive Procession (opolopo Remix)"—originally released digitally as advance singles from *KJM EOANDO*—were also issued on vinyl. He continues to tour internationally with Kyoto Jazz Massive and work on various remix projects.
