Born in 2000 and raised in Okinawa, she is a biracial, bilingual singer-songwriter representing Gen Z, known for a powerful, soulful voice that deeply moves the listener. She began her career on YouTube as part of the duo "Gracie & Gabe" with her younger brother. Her ukulele cover videos went viral on social media, garnering over 100,000 subscribers and 10 million total views before her official debut. In 2020, she joined ASOBISYSTEM and launched her professional music career, releasing her debut single "Eternal Sunshine," produced by Chaki Zulu. She subsequently gained attention both in Japan and abroad, expanding her activities through partnerships with Universal Music and US Capitol Records, and establishing herself as an artist who fluidly traverses soul, R&B, and pop. In 2023, she collaborated with fellow Okinawan rapper/producer CHOUJI to release "OKIDOKI," a reimagining of the Okinawan folk song "Kokoro no Furusato" (originally by Deigo Musume). Centered on the theme of preserving Okinawan culture, the track became a major topic of conversation and has garnered support as an anthem for the new generation. Currently working as an independent artist, she is energetically releasing tracks with a unique artistic vision—such as "ONOREDO," "Genjitsu Tohi" (Escapism), and "Unknown"—while also producing a full-length album. Additionally, through the unit "sen" with producer Matt Cab, she is engaged in a project that reinterprets Japanese *kayokyoku* (classic pop) and J-Rock through a modern sensibility; in 2025, she released a version of Masao Sen's classic hit "Kimi ga Subete Sa," sharing the renewed appeal of Showa-era pop with audiences at home and abroad. Furthermore, in a project with veteran vintage-sound producer YANCY, she explores a sound that bridges *kayokyoku*, jazz, and R&B. With the 2026 release of the original song "Bad Egg," she continues to create music that fuses the roots of Japanese music with a contemporary sensibility. Beyond that, the artist engages in a wide range of activities that transcend genres and generations—including collaborations with diverse artists such as gliiico and OZworld, partnerships with fashion brands, and a headline show at Blue Note Place backed by a full band led by top-tier Japanese jazz pianist David Bryant. Armed with a sensibility that bridges their Okinawan roots with the global stage, they continue to pursue a truly unique form of expression.
